Persuasive Writing

Marshall found a book in the library called 'Which would you rather be?' by William Stieg, Pictures by Harry Bliss.

 We decided to use it as a persuasive writing prompt where students were asked to choose between 2 objects/living things and justify why. Here are some of the responses...

A Cat or a Dog?	Dog	Dogs because they protect their owner from strangers .
A Snake or a Crocodile?	Snake	Snake because they can camouflage on the tree.
A Mouse or an Elephant?	Mouse	Mouse because they are fast and sneaky and hard to see and catch.

Rain or Snow?	Rain	Rain because it could give a nice shower and wash of the dirty stuff.
Thunder or Lightening?	Thunder	Thunder because it can frighten people and let people know that the lightning is coming.

The Moon or the Sun?	Moon	Moon because it can give you more sleeps when you are really tired and when the sun is out you don’t get more sleeps when you are really tired.

Rain or Snow?	Snow	Because your thick and sticky and would be able to swallow
Thunder or Lightening?	Lightening	Because your super fast and can catch things on fire.
