Swimming Coaches 2021

Last week we had swimming coaches working with our Kauri classes. We learnt different survival strokes and positions and some valuable water safety tips.

  4. Kia ora Room 6. Poppy here and the best tip was to cross everything in the health position to keep us warm and tight. Learning to survive in the water was so much fun and now if i'm in danger in the water I will know what to do!

  5. Hi Mrs O'shea and Room 6 this is Jessica here. what I found interesting that I learnt was how to get people breathing when they are not interesting in the water.

  7. Kia ora Room 6 Isaac here. 1. River sculling. 2. Back sculling. I got really cold in the pool because we had to stay in for 30 minutes but it was really fun. Blog Ya Later.

  8. Kia Ora Room 6 it is me (Kezia) and I remember when someone is drowning you do not go in the water to instead you throw a bottle filled with air or like a ball.

  9. Hi Miss O'Shea, Sakina here. The best tip is in the river skull you should do feet first cause if you do head first you could bump your head into a rock. Learning to survive in the water was so much fun especially the life jackets. Know if I am in danger I will know what to do. What's your best tip? Blog ya later, Sakina.

  11. Hi Room 6 it's Tui. I think that breath stroke is the best because it is slow but use more stamina and powerful.

    I didn't do swimming lessons with the swimming instructors but I do know some tips of my own. If you are in the river and you can't touch the floor kick little kicks so you don't waste your energy.It is always best to river skull when the water is to strong.Did you know some of these tips?.

    doggy paddle and life jacket and I think that breath stroke is the
    beast and I think that doggy paddle is the best too
