We are doing a Production this term called Mindcraft the Musical (based on minecraft and the cyber world). To tie that in with our developing tech skills we used Google Sheets to make our own 'excel' characters that would look like minecraft ones.
Check out Room 23's great work!
Your minecraft pictures are awesome. You are really talented!! We might try this. Vinnie is going to show us how because he's been doing it with his brother Isaac.
ReplyDeleteHi Room 8. We really enjoyed doing these Excel characters. We would love to see yours when you are finished. Please shout out if you need any help. From Room 23.
DeleteKia ora Room 23,
ReplyDeleteI am SUPER IMPRESSED with your Minecraft characters. I have NEVER used Excel in this way and think I may have to give it a go and see if I can be as creative as you. How long did your characters take you to create? Are there any special tips you can give me to get me started?
Tania
Kia Ora Tania, this is Room23 here. Thanks for your comment. We really enjoyed making these excel characters. Our characters took between 1 day and 6 days depending on how big and detailed it was. Here's a tip: use CTRL C, CTRL V to copy the same coloured squares. Tip 2: If the whole line is one colour, click and drag. Tip 3: If you want bigger squares format it 100/100, if you want smaller go 50/50. Have fun creating!
DeleteWow I love your Minecraft themed learning Owairaka School! Good luck with your show 'Mindcraft The Musical', from Rachel Sutherland, (author of the show, takeabowproductions.org.) I'd love to see more photos when you are all finished :)
