We were lucky enough to have the very talented and inspiring Alexis Pritchard - NZ's Commonwealth medal winning boxer in to talk to us about being courageous and facing your fears.

Yesterday Alexis Pritchard visited our school and she told us about herself and how she started her boxing career. I came back to class with thoughts about how you should keep on trying and think positive thoughts about yourself.
Talofa I am Ariella-brooke. I learned that success isn't a straight line it is full of scribbles, that it is our mistakes that we do that help us learn.
Yesterday Alexis Pritchard visited my school we had to go in to little group's of 6 and we had some of sticky paper and some card board to lean on. We had to write what we are good at and what were scared of.

When Alexis was talking I learned that success is not a straight line it is all curly and swiggly. She told us to write everything we are scared of and everything we are comfortable with.

She had us write down 1 thing we weren't scared to do and 2 thing we were uncomfortable doing. I learnt that when you want to succeed, it takes you a while to learn something.
